The Boucher Forest's chickadees

Mis à jour : 14 juin 2023

What a pleasure to observe and hear the black-capped chickadees established in the Boucher Forest. This one taking a sun bath despite the -13 Celsius degrees . Their melodious and varied songs can only enchant us and make us change our mind about the bad news on a loop everywhere. The chickadees having about fifteen different cries by which they communicate different emotions. For my part, the only emotion felt to hear them was gratitude. It is so beautiful! I LOVE birds so much!

I had a little issues taking pictures of these hyperactive birds. Damn they move fast! They seemed to be having fun despite the biting cold and the thick layer of snow on the ground. Imagine my surprise when this tit did a "back flip" under my lens. Show off! He was probably a camera regular! Reading a little about these birds, I learned that chickadees hide food in different places and can remember for at least 28 days where they hid it. In addition, they lower the temperature of their bodies during the night, to conserve their energies.

This little bird is surprising!

And what about this cute down coat! It's so cute!

The Chickadee is one of the most important insect pest exterminators in forests and orchards. It's pretty good for the Little Boucher Forest to have its little established residents.

Offered in different formats, on canvas or framed in black or white, these photographs will adorn your walls perfectly.
