Brigitte Marcotte
Since my teenage years, I had the dream of becoming a photographer and traveling the world and selling my photos to National Geographic. Steve McCurry's famous image of the Afghan woman with green eyes particularly marked me, as did travel advertisements. However, my journey took a very different turn. I did visit Afghanistan but it was not for photography. After a mission in Iraq in 2020, I found myself at a turning point in my life. It was then that my partner gave me my first camera and training for Christmas 2021. The following year, I left a 17-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces to launch BMC Photo Art. I like to savor life through cooking, good wine, music, hiking, nature, travel, animals and birds. Married to Alexandre since I was 18, we have two beautiful daughters together. My goal is to share with you the beauty of the world around us through my photographic universe.
